Yes, weather looks excellent (knock on wood). I will leave my house around 6 AM and get there when the gates open Saturday.

Post subject:  Rookie Rumble

Andrew Shank is driving my truck both days and Jack told me that Jack III will be driving his car. So the rookie rumble is on!

I don't know of any new folks coming, but just in case there are; When you arrive at the gate tell them you are racing Slant 6. If it is Sunday and you are racing both races, then tell them you are racing both Slant 6 races and pay them $15 for each race at the gate. Make sure they punch your tech card twice. Come to the pits and give me the other $20/ race to put into the purse. Once you get your tech card filled out and go through tech, come and give me your car number.

More to come.

Saturday the gates open at 10:00 AM and I will be there then. Ron and Kay usually come up Friday night and camp at the track overnight so look for their rig if you get there early. Camping at the track is free.

Try and be at the track at least by 11:00 so you can be ready to race at 12:00.

I am guessing that we are going to begin time runs at 12:00 and I have an e-mail into Elmer to confirm. ( Elmer just confirmed that we will begin our time runs at 12:00)

For those racing Sunday. I would not plan on any extra time runs between our two races. We did not get any last year. So if you want more runs than the 2 we normally get you will have to sign up for T & T.

See ya all soon. Weather looks great!

Just walked in the door. We raced until after 9:00PM.

Winner Ryan Covalt, R/U Jack Everhart III

Jack won 3 rounds, and Andrew shank won 2, so Jack should be up by 5 in the rookie rumble.

More to follow! Good night

Sunday Results!

Rodney Hargis pulls off a double win today! Congrats to Rodney and Alana.

Ron Hamby driving Ryan's purple Duster got R/U in the first race and Lou Madsen got R/U in the second race.

Congratulations to everyone. We had two beautiful days for racing and great fellowship with some great friends!

Rob I will send you the points tomorrow. Rob will give us the low down on the points, but I'm pretty sure that Jack Everhart III has won Rookie of the year for the East Coast. And Ron Hamby may be the National Champ again depending on the West Coast results.

I will post some Pics soon.

Here are a few photo's to wet your whistle. Just as a little side note. As I was walking around the pits and looking at the 7 cars that were setting there, I quickly realized that I was was the slowest car in the pits, and I was running 15.15! Who would have thought that would be the case. I'm sure glad Andrew Shank (in my truck running 19.50) and Ryan in the purple Duster, running 17.70, showed up and slowed the field down a little.

Ron Hamby had some real issues with the Dart and only got to run it Saturday and Jack Everhart blew a Head gasket, but everyone pitched in and tried to help one another out. I am really glad to be associated with all of our Slant 6 racers. Jack III drove the car in both races on Sunday with a Slant 4. The track treated us well again, and they are always excited when we pull into the pits. And just for the record, Will Burns, they are waiting for your return in the Spring!!!

Thanks to everyone for coming out and making our race a success!
