so are you going to race on Saturday and rain out on Sunday? the dates would be Nov 7th race and rainout on the 8th. or are you racing on Friday with the rainout on Saturday the 7th? My son would like to know.

Hello All,

I believe I have talked with everyone by phone, PM, and web posts. Let's confirm the points race date for Saturday Nov 7 and the rainout date will be Sunday Nov 8. MP Dragway will have the Mopar show and race and they will likely have Slant 6 brackets both days, but at least on Saturday.

Jack, that is great that Jack III can make it. Best of luck with the car work.

Thanks to everyone that was at mason Dixson for the first clay city makeup. I believe that everyone chip in to help Jack III and I on my car. Thank you for clarifying the dates Lou. I believe that Jack III is going to try to be in clay city if he can get off work.

The discussion has all been for Saturday with Sunday as the rain out date. I am correcting it now.

I bumped Ron Hamby up into the Possibly attending category because I just can't imagine him missing Clay City. He's got that sweet Valiant and he needs to show us that he can bang gears as well as Kay does! :shock: She whooped up on me pretty good at Wilkesboro in that car. :wink:

The Program is still the same (car show, swap meet and race).

I've been exchanging emails with Howard Davis trying to convince him to make it.

I'm about to post a Parts For Sale ad for him with contact information in case anyone wants to ask him about the parts... Or the race... Hint Hint :wink:

If you wuz ta git all them folks ta show up you'd put Clay City back up in the top races where it used ta be (and where it belongs).

Weather Channel Forecast:

Friday: High 73/Low 50 with thunderstorms

Saturday: High 59/Low 37 mostly cloudy w/10% chance of rain / 57% humidity

Sunday: High 57/Low 36 SUNNY w/0% chance of rain and 52% humidity

Could be some Record Setting / Best Time weather this weekend!!! :wink:

Current Clay City Records:
Rusty Heisten (Team Green) - B/A 1/8 mile @ 97.423 MPH on 9/26/14
Jason Davis (Hillside Six) - C/A 1/4 mile 11.279 AND 114.22 MPH on 10/11/09
Rodney Hargis (2 Time National Champion) - D/G 1/8 mile 8.582 AND 78.196 MPH on 9/27/14

Many racers have had their best times recorded at this track as well.

The current rainy weather is supposed to clear up later tonight and only get better with 0% chance of rain the rest of the weekend... :wink:

Saturday mostly cloudy @ 60 degrees with 0% chance of rain.
Saturday night a few clouds from time to time, down to 37 degrees

Sunday ABUNDANT SHUNSHINE @ 58 degrees!!! :D :D :D
