Thats correct Jerry, just refill applicator as needed-you would be suprised what TSP will remove as in its natural state is a harsh cleaner and pulls rust/oil and undescrible crud with no harm to radiator/heater/pump/block. Be aware 5 hours would be for a neglected system if doing routine .5hrs is sufficient. When the solution is no longer showing oil/rust/slime, remove applicator and rinse system and refill as normal.***** SAFTEY NOTE: WEAR GLOVES AND EYE PROTECTION WHEN USING THIS METHOD AS TSP IS A MILD CAUSTIC******.

This hole that was mentioned.. where exactly on the thermostat is it supposed to go? If you put it on the silver colored ring that holds the thermostat tot he housing, wouldn't it effectively bypass the thermostat or is it so small it doesn't matter? If someone has a picture of one with a hole or one without but a pointer to where the hole should be, that would be appreciated

The Hole does atleast 1 thing.... I tend to think it does 2..... First it lets air pass out threw it.... 2nd I think it allows a small ammount of water to flow by the thermostat, so it can't get a cold pocket bhind it. I drilled a 7/64th inch hole, but I think the hole was still a bit to large.... but yes basicly the hole is so small the water flow doesn't ammount to much....
