Oh good now it is overcharging again, it itried this a few weeks ago, replaced voltage regltr, doing it again, burned out headlights on teh way home from work this morning

The alternator used on the 80-84 models works well. This is a 78 amp model. I use this on my 80 Aspen and it is a big improvement over the smaller units. I never did like Chrysler's regulator though, so I went one step further and ran a lead off one of the stator windings so I could use a Ford electronic regulator. This setup charges great and allows me to run an indicator light that tells me when the system is not charging. Mitch |
