The 2bbls were called "supersix" and mostly were offered in the 70s and 80s, but did not have a higher HP rating even though they undoubtedly had higher HP
The 2bbl setup offered in the US and Canada from '77-'83 was called Super Six (two words) and in every year it was offered it had a higher advertised horsepower rating, 110 vs. 100 net hp. If you compare the earlier gross horsepower ratings, 160 vs. 145, that is also right at 10%.

In Argentina, 3 enhanced Slant Six varieties were marketed:

Valiant 3 and 4 GT, from 1965 to 1967, the base is the Slant Six 225, but with a preparation whose main characteristic is its double carburetion, different cam and 8.1:1 producing 180 HP and 304 nm or 224 lbft of torque, with a performance of 162 km/h of final speed and a 0 to 100 km of 12 seconds.
I leave you the period tests: https://www.testdelayer.com.ar/valiantgt.htm

Last Valiant 4 GT, Dodge GT and Dodge GTX 6 cylinders: in September 1967 until 1972 the prepared Slant Six was reconfigured, leaving aside the double carburetor and going to the double-mouth crankcase "configuration similar to that of the super six", this The engine was the 225 with a 2-barrel carburetor, different cam, a compression of 8.4:1 and produced 155 HP and 294 Nm or 216 lbft of torque, with a performance of 170 km/h of final speed and 11 sec from 0 to 100 km.

Dodge Polara RT: at the end of 1973 the Dodge Polara RT debuts, it came equipped with the best performance Slant Six produced in Argentina, the Slant 225 with a new two-barrel Holley 4040 carburetor, 3a1 3a1 exhaust manifolds, a cam with 22º crossover, 8.5:1 compression ratio and produced 174 HP and 333 Nm or 246 lbft of torque, with a final performance of 182 km/h and 0 to 100 in 11 sec.

and a picture of the engine:

The Argentine Polara is a beautiful car.

There are several YouTube videos on them. One of the most interesting the the guy with the "fender well" headers and a 2' tall adapter for his Weber carb. It does nice burn outs and they rev the snot out of the engine. I guess there is no V8 guys telling them you can't do that with 4.125" cranks.

Thank you for the Argentinean info.

Can you post any pictures of that Dodge Polara engine with the air filter and housing removed?

I would sure like to see the induction and exhaust setup.

¡Gracias¡

For sure the slant 6 option would have been more popular if they had that extra 30-40 hp. :D

I think so, the performance of the Slant Six of the Dodge Polara RT was outstanding.

That's a cut/capped rear half of a stock exhaust manifold, along with this front-3 casting, which…if I recall correctly, Lou, didn't you buy the linked one off me?

I think Rick bought it, or I bought it and sold it to someone else. It was in my garage at one point to check intake fitments...

I had something witty to say, but I will just keep it in my head.

Cool Manifold, however.
Maybe we need to make a slanted Pilmrigage below the Darien pass someday! :D :D :D
