I figured with such a statement as yours for a signature blurb, it's time for you to get in some serious "wrench time". It's not always fun, but you get the satisfaction of a job well done (if you don't screw up, and if you don't screw up from time to time, you're not learning much

Dirt in eyes, especially with contacts on, is a doozy. If it gets between contacts and eye its even better!

Geting grease on your face and grit in your eyes is fun, but nothing beats gasoline in your ear (as in INNER ear).

Being viscous in nature, tends to leave a light coating thereby preventing rust and scale formation. The real tip is to do a cooling system service every year. Does address boilover issues in a indirect way: clean jackets equal good flow which equal reduced temps, but mine never runs warmer then 190 degrees in plus 100 tempatures with stock fan/pump and 3 core radiator....Dave

Like an initiation of sorts "DW" Hehe, yeah I know it's all good. I've spent plenty of time underneath the car working on the linkage and trying to find strange noises with the stethescope. I enjoy working under it, but I've got hardly any clearance to do the work, so depending on the job, I'd much rather rip the engine out or do a few extra little tasks that'll make the job easier overall.

You should see the glasses I have for reading and close up stuff. I had to spend twice as much for high index lenses because the other lenses were so thick I woulda gotten back problems! Bit of an exaggeration, but they were THICK. I'm just lucky my military physical was early in the morning, so my eyes weren't tired and I came out with a 20/20 vision rating and perfect depth perception

Naw, as long as your careful its no big deal. In fact, I would say I have had less close calls with contacts then without because I am more careful.

I usually can be like that with most people, but this guy's different. I still can't quite figure out what makes him tick. For one he is the owner of the car (until it completely dies or she buys it), two he's still got the US Marine mentality in addition to a bad case of PTSD from Vietnam, and last of all, since the girl and I are kinda into each other, It's really hard for me to bring myself to make him feel inferior. Kind of a "showing respect even if you don't feel it" thing I guess

A pressure washer works wonders for chassis/engine/engine bay cleanup. You can have the entire chassis and motor cleaned down to bare metal within an hour or two.
