At least skooch the front wheels forward a tad in the wells when you mount the straight axle, that'll make the w/b look more altered than it actually is. ![]() |

That’s a good idea. We could even trim the front of the wheel well just a tad as well. With the Toad body lines, moving that rear wheel forward is a bit more involved than the 63-66 A bodies. |

Make sure to have them bend some caster into that axle. Your undershorts will thank you the first time you let off at the big end. |

Craig seems pretty knowledgeable about the caster requirements. He is pretty patient with me. I went out there this evening. It looks like we might be able to get this axle to work with some tweaking here and there. He has the new front frame rails all in. We also looked at skooching the axle forward a couple to few inches for Old6rodder. ![]() |

Exactly why I don't seek to ride in the Slant 6 record holder my son owns!! High 12's are Ok , but an 11.00 in a Pepsi can?? I don't think so!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It would be closer to a bottle rocket with the stick cut off. Buddy ofmine used to have a '55 Ford gasser with a 426 Hemi and a 727 in it. I know just enough about gassers to never want one. |

I just want to be like you in every way Mark! Cuz you is so COOL!! ![]() It looks like your idea was to extend the front. What I’m looking at doing is moving the rear axle up. We will also skooch the straight axle forward just a little in the existing wheel well. It looks like I need another parts car... ![]() |
