One thing that struck me as odd about all the complaints regarding oiling issues for the aftermarket roller rockers, it became obvious to me why this is happening once DadTruck posted pics of the rockers above, as I had never seen any pics of them before showing the ID. Even though they have an oil hole that apparently leads to the roller tip, there is no channel or groove in the ID to direct any oil to this oil hole. Below is a stock rocker where it has a channel inside the ID to capture oil coming out of the rocker shaft and directs it straight to the oilers inside the rocker body to oil the valve tips and likely the valve springs as well. So, now I can see why the roller rocker have so much problem as this important feature is missing from the design by the person that created them. This is similar to how the main bearings send oil to the rod bearings. The groove in the main bearings captures and holds significant oil volume to then send to the rod bearings. If the main bearings had no groove in them, only the thin layer of oil between the main journal and bearing would be the only oil that would somehow have to miraculously find the hole in the main journal to continue its journey to oil the rod bearings. Which it would have similar failings just like the roller tips on the rockers, just much sooner.
