well it's been two years and seven months since last posting on this topic. I haven't had to mess with the FiTeck setup since the last post. I'm pleased with how it all has been working, quick starts, idles well, still has snappy throttle response. However fuel millage seems not to be what it was with the old Holley 390, and during a hot restart it runs the rpm to 1700 to 2000 rpm for 15 or 20 seconds before dropping to preset 800rpm idle. I guess it takes some additional heat to activate the O2 sensor to get it out of enriched closed loop cycle.

The other day I set out to lower the fuel level and add some STA-Bil for winter storage along with a swig of ethanol free gas. The ambient temperature when starting the engine was 39*F, and the car had been unused for a week or two at the time. Once the engine started it struggled to idle at 1000 rpm on 5 cylinders, requiring several rev-ups to clear an over rich condition at which time it ran right. I have headers and Clifford intake heated with hot coolant. It smoothed out after a minute, and ran like it always dose during a 25 mile ride.

That was last week, I still have to burn out several more gallons before adding fuel treatment. Hopefully today I can get that last ride with top down in full sun at 39*. Then both rag tops go into the basement until April.
