Cool story.

Mr. Fin: I may be able to supply an old Slant 6 cam core if you cannot find one... I'm about to send a few cams to Ken at Oregon to get reground anyway.

Best,
Lou
Thanks Lou, that’s very kind of you. My understanding is they charge $40 for the core that I cannot provide, so it's not too bad.

But in case you have an extra core that you could include in your package without extra cost for you, that would be great. However, if your shipping goes up because of the extra core, it might not be worth the hassle (I would naturally pay you for any extra shipping).

Maurice

Hi Maurice,

That will be great if Ken has a core for you. I stopped by Oregon Cams when I was visiting that area last month and he said they did not have cores, but maybe they found one/some. I'll look into my stash of cores and see if I can afford to include an extra one for you.

All the best,
Lou

Sorry for the delay Lou. Ken has been helpful at Oregon cams, but information has been a bit slow coming from there. I finally called him to check the situation and it seems everything is all right, they were proceding with the order. He said they did have a core that was in good shape. So I’m good. But I really want to thank you for the offer. It’s nice to know there are good people in this world.
