Well I'll be damned! Paul, I think you and I are the only ones that possess one of those glass float bowls. I'd like to get 'hold of a couple more, but they're not to be found in my area. Think there's any still around in your area? Roger I doubt it, I found mine about 10 years ago. There are only a few wreckers that keep cars more than about 20 years old. If I knew what years and models they may be used in I might find one. Paul |

Thanks for the float info. Looks like the plastic type floats are the only ones available and they are now being discontinued!!! So all you Holley 1920 owners need to stock up, I got the last NOS float in the Omaha area! With the back of the metering block filed flat (how many of you have caught that one?), a new float and a rebuild, the carb still had a lean problem. Guess what? A 35 year old PCV valve and hose DOES go bad eventually! So I spent the $2.39 for a new valve and voila! the darn thing runs pretty good. Finally! At least I know everything else is new or rebuilt in the carb. |

First.......I think I owe Doug a hearty Thank You! for attaching that pic to my post. He must have kept it around, as I don't have access to my home 'puter from where I'm at. Second....as I recall, I found that bowl on an old early 60's Ford Falcon that had a straight six in the front, so if anybody knows of one in a salvage yard, you might want to pop the hood. Roger |
