That was just old age not being able to remember what I did 5 minutes before!! :D :D

My goal now is to remove another 50-75# and run some consistent 12.6-12.70's

Did find out that the car that runs consistent 13.20-13.30's, will run consistent 12.80's if the throttle is fully opened!! :D :D Thanks Lou! For the second time! :D

I got some things done on the car to get her back on the track. I removed the front of the car (mine unbolts) to get good access to everything. I removed the old aluminum bracket that held the alternator and the oil pump. I had a piece of aluminum plate (.400 thick which is an odd size) that I laid out a new bracket on. Transfer punched all the holes and drilled them, then after several hours of cutting with a jigsaw I had a new heavier plate. Original was 1/4" thick. Did some belt sanding and then verified that everything fit.
I previously measured about .080 offset in my water pump and crank pulleys. So I removed the homemade mandrel drive and the balancer, and made a .078" thick spacer from a hardware store washer, to go behind the balancer on the crank. Pressed everything back together and checked my measurements and they were dead on. (At least as close as my measuring could get! :D )
I mounted the plate tightly and took two squares and checked the plate and the balancer for being in the same plane. It was off slightly but with just the twist of the nut on the stabilizer strut I was able to get them perfectly lined up. Cleaned my aluminum plate and painted with a coat of clear, Water pump pulley got painted aluminum.
Next my new alternator pulley came in and was missing the bushing that adapts from the pulleys .750 ID to the .590 of the alternator. So Monday I'll call and get that coming. I went with the 3 1/2" one but they make a 5 " one also.
I also will be moving the radiator forward about 1" to give me better access to everything up front. I will also cut out some steel on both sides of the radiator and replace it with aluminum and well as the top piece of the radiator support. May shave 3 or 4 pounds. Here are some pics.

Alternator pulley update.

It seems that the 3.5" pulley that I got for the alternator is not technically for an alternator. It is for a pump although I'm not sure of the difference. Others have mentioned that it shows the bushing for the center and that it is listed for a .590 (15 MM) shaft, but they have not recieved the bushing either. Anyway I was looking at Summit and kept coming up with only one aftermarket pulley for that size shaft. So I called customer support and he verified the only oversize pulley they list for the .590 shaft is a 3" one. That is only 1/2" larger than stock. But it looks to be a bolt on with no bushing needed. It is Jones Racing also- JRP-AL-3105-A-C

The 3.5" one will probably work once I run down the bushing and put the right thickness spacer behind it too.

Is seems what you have in your hand / picture is not what you lave listed on the part #..

Maybe that's why you did not get the bushing you should have??!!
This looks different than what you have pictured. but it's the part # you list in the next post.

Sorry Greg, You will need to re-read the post. :D 1st Pulley, pictured is the one I ordered and have in hand. When ordered it was listed for the correct .590 (15 MM) shaft for my alternator and shows the bushing included. It arrived without said bushing and the center hole is 19MM.

So I did a search on Summit for any .590 shaft size pulleys and only found one, which is the Part# listed in the post. When I only found that one, I decided to call and ask if they had any others. They verified they only have that one. So I placed an order for that one too. It appears that it will not need any bushing or spacers to work.

But for my specific issue with belt alignment I would prefer to use the one pictures (3.5"one) because I can use spacers to get the perfect alignment with my water pump and balancer. Plus it is a little larger.

Clear as mud?? :D :D

I did get the bushing for the 3.5" pulley listed above but it will still not work. The shaft size is correct when the bushing is installed, but the center has to be recessed so you can get the nut installed. It is not recessed so that one is a no go. The JPR-AL-3105-A-C in Greg's link above is a bolt on. It is only 1/2" larger but does have a little deeper groove so that is what I am running.

While I had my bolt in radiator support out to work on my bracketry, I went ahead and widened it some more and made it all out of aluminum. I lost probably 3 or 4 pounds.
