So the #2 venturi / jet install issue is that what you suspect was causing your high rpm flutter? |

Yes instead of it pointing downstream and pulling fuel out, it was facing upstream and trying to shove fuel back up into the bowl. |

Congrats on that find! Sometimes it can be the smallest detail that we overlook and come back to find it with hindsight being 20/20. When you find it, it's the Ah-Ha Moment. |

You can drag race in reverse with a reverse pattern valve body and it will all work correctly as you had planned! |

My Dad put the pig in an International dump truck upside down. Had 5 reverses and 1 forward. I did the same thing putting the carrier in a Cub tractor. International seems to like having diffs on the centerline so they go together either way. I don't think you can do that with an 8-3/4. ![]() |

With all your help I think I got it! ![]() Sure glad I installed an exhaust system for normal driving around the neighborhood. It sounds awful (the tone) but it made it nice while running up and down the road for 3 hours Saturday. Then last night I jacked the car up to do my rear end change, and literally in 5 seconds the whole thing drops off on the floor. I like it! ![]() ![]() Attachment: IMG_5963.JPG [ 76.02 KiB | Viewed 1282 times ] Attachment: IMG_5964.JPG [ 69.93 KiB | Viewed 1282 times ] |

Yes Rick's Car is Very Clean and a well thought out / put together car. You should come see it in person at the end of the month at Fairlawn, VA. Greg |

Good times today! Two of my Grandsons were in the garage with me. (Ages 11 & 15) They finished installing my conversion U joint, Installed my drive line, both axles and drums and wheels. And then they wanted me to fire it up (Open exhaust). They said it was loud. Look on their faces at 6000 rpm, priceless! ![]() ![]() |
