and yes,,,, I was laying sideways on the floor when I took these photos and that is why the pictures are the way they are.

I also took the same photos standing up with my feet on the floor and posted those a FABO and FB, so if you want to see the normal view, look over there.

A bit of progress concerning the 4 speed swap in the 68 Barracuda.
Working with Brewers I have new Hurst shifter, shift rods, the 1-2 and reverse are Mopar A body 4 speed rods the 3-4 is an OD rod, also put in new bushings and clips. I plan to have the transmission gone through internally prior to the install.

Interesting item on this transmission is, the S/N pad has the transmission identified as a 3 speed 230 unit. Just another day in the Mopar assembly plant. Also the speedometer gear and housing is a different design that what I have seem previously.

don't know why the photos I post here on .org randomly change orientation. The S/N pad photo is the same orientation as the other 2 photos on my phone-computer-FABO,,, post it here and it flips over 180 degrees,,,,,

That plastic gear / housing arrangement is in most/ all FJM body cars. I am not sure on the change over year.

A project completed on the 68 Barracuda
I had installed roller rockers and B3 valve train stands, that raised the rockers enough to require modifications to the stock valve cover.
One of the mods was to remove the internal valve cover baffles. I installed a Moroso PCV line catch can and that was effective, but the catch can would fill after a hundred miles of easy driving.

To be able to re install internal valve cover baffles I needed to raise the valve cover. That was accomplished with the hydraulic head valve cover spacer mentioned in the CAD Cam thread.
I used a standard Fel Pro cork-rubber gasket on both sides of the spacer and substituted in studs in place of the standard valve cover bolts to keep things aligned during assembly.
Verified the under valve cover clearance with rolls of clay.

The results are all good. There is absolutely no oil carry over into the Moroso catch can after miles of spirited driving.

One more project for the 68B is to make it a 4 speed car.
When I built the car I put in a set of manual transmission-clutch pedals, a 4 speed hump on the floor and matching interior carpet, so that much is done.

Also years ago, working with Wayne V I had a slant to a small block adapter plate made.
Taking this one step at a time I modified the 130 tooth v8 flywheel to match the slant six crank shaft hub.
I threaded the existing v8 off set hole flywheel mounting hole, plugged that with a piece of all thread then redrilled the mounting hole in the correct slant six location.

Next I mounted the adapter plate-flywheel and QT bell housing and starter to a spare slant six engine that I have in the garage check to the gear mesh of the starter to the flywheel.
Using jumper cables I engaged the starter. About a 50% gear mesh, that should be OK.

The next steps will be taking the long tube Hooker headers off the slant that is in the 68 Barracuda mounting those to the spare engine to see how those headers will fit with a low starter mount.

This project will be something that I work on from time to time in the remaining days of 2025 with a completion some time in 2026.
