Well Mark I beat your prediction by oh 2.5 Months!

I got the windshield out -25#

Dash removed -25#

Other Misc. Items Removed - Sheet metal Braces wiper mounting Reinforcements, Steering column Braces Windshield Gasket / Stainless Trim:
-9#

So for today I got another 59# out of the front of the car.

Running total so far: 256# lighter than 2010.. That will go down a bit when I account for the lexan front and rear glass. it's not here yet.

Also I am Going to remove the Rear window... I guess 25#'s there and some more undercoating 2-3#'s there, and the rear bumper and support brakets - Maybe 30+ #'s there?

I did some relocation of the Gauges, switches and wiring, Still have to add the tach Back in. I built a real simple AL strap to support the steering column to the Interior Frame.. The One Chrysler gives you is like 3#'s It's built for a mack truck!

Dash Removed; Mark should bee happy!

Thanks for the predictions Mark, I am not sure however that you calculations account for the future gear change form 4.30 to 4.56 and the aero Stuff / Stance.

Terry, I might Experiment with covering it, but i'ts pretty light as it is now. The grille as it is now ismade of all thin sheet Aluminum and a whole bunch of holes already punched in it.

I got the back Window removed, ready for some lexan to go in there.

Rear Glass -17#
Rear Glass Gasket, Trim, Clips etc. - 5#

Running total weight loss: Since November 2010 278#

You are getting to Possum Parker weight range, and engine performance appears similar, esp with a little more tuning. It'll be interesting to see you run Gary Bruner or Parker this year...

I have heard much talk about the Bagel bamboozaler, but I have yet to see one in captivity. If you locate one or see one in the wild will you please take a picture of it for us!

Well I got the Lexan rear window in - The Sheet Blank Arrived today and I wased no time getting it installed. Mason Dixon opening day / TNT is less than 2 months away!

Here are Some Pics:

I began By transferring the outer shape of the rear window to Cardboard.

Lots of compound Curves here that are tough to match on flat sheet.
Image

Bye Bye Rear Glass / Gasket.
Image

Sheet Blank - Gave me a few inches extra on all sides.
Image

Template Transferred to lexan sheet - Lots of cutting, roughing in and test fits to get this correct.. I cant imagine doing this on a 64-66 Barracuda.
Image

Install Complete. Lexan only adds 6# back to the car! YAY!

Lexan Rear Glass +6#
Total Weight Loss since November 2010 Now @ 272#

Well Another update - We had a snow day on Friday so I had a 3 Day workin on Ruster weekend.

I made a Support bar for the parking brake - It used to conncet to the dash which is gone..
Image

I made A "pocket" for my Junk that used to reside in the Glove box. Used an old Pant leg and basically riveted it to the floor.

I got the 5 point racing belts installed!

Fabbed up some grille Coverings:
Terry, The grille is not gone, just Covered - They are easily removed with 2 Bolts.

I am also Thinking of going with the '67 Center Grille piece if I can find one :-)
