The adaptor is a cupped spacer with a "nose" that fits into the center of the BB top gear. If you order a BB double roller chain and gear set and then compair the top gear to any SL6 gear, it becomes pretty obvious as far as what need to be done to get the BB gear to adapt. The big challenge is to "index" / degree in the BB top gear seeing the dowel / "dot' relationship is in a different place. Just spend the $$ and get a JP set-up and be done with it. DD |

What I do for chain oiling, is what the factory did on the older slants. I file a champher on the edge of the # 1 main bearing. This sprays oil right on the chain/crank gear. The slinger helps to distribute it around the chain, and keep the excess off the front seal. |
