How about Gentle Giant, Nektar, Tangerine Dream or some good pre 1980 Judas Priest. Unfortunately my Krako only pulls in the Spanish stations presently!
Wow, Kraftwerk, pre-'80 Judas Priest...all stuff I like. Slant people are sickos. ;-)

You get a prize! This is actually one of my favorite quote from Pres. Kennedy. he was addressing a crown of people in Berlin and thought he was saying, "I am a Berliner" meaning a resident of Berlin. Unfortunately, Pres. Kennedy was not aware of the German custom of naming pastries after German cities. A "Berliner" happens to be a jelly doughnut. SO, the US President told the world that he was a jelly doughnut!

Close Reed. That's only part of it. Gramatically speaking, they don't use articles to identify themselves. For instance, you might say, "I am a Reed", meaning you are a member of the Reed family. Per the German syntax, you would say, "Ich bin Reed "(I am Reed).

Hey now, just remembere you are talking to a guy who got his GED after only two and 3/4 years of high school and somehow managed to make it through public school without ever having a class dealing with sentence structure, word tenses, etc...

I wish I were and expert D/W. But while my grammer may be sufficient, my volcabulary isn't. I probably have that of a preschooler.

I submitted the phrase

"Didn't the slanted engine evolve from Germany?"

to the translation website below. It gave me,

"Nicht entwickelte die schräg gelegene Maschine aus Deutschland?"

Then I put this back in to translate back to English and got,

"Develop the machine from Germany, lain didn't diagonally?"

I guess technology isn't ready to replace people in this field yet!!

I learned from an Austrian who migrated and became naturalized. She'd get pissed at people talking down to her for being a foreigner. She'd tell them she'd been an American longer than they had. Then we had a natural born American with Jordanian roots. He was a riot.

While I was learning proper German, the Spanish classes were learning to make tacos from Cubans.
