It's not very easy to get EDIS to work with a cam trigger unless you have a very large trigger wheel. But it's possible to make Megasquirt (or quite a few other aftermarket ECUs) run a distributorless ignition with a suitable cam trigger. The simplest cam trigger I've seen appears on a few Mazdas (including the Miata) and Mitsubishis - it has four outer holes and either one or two inner holes, and two optical sensors. Each outer hole triggers an ignition, and the inner holes reset the ECU's count.
still can do it with cam with 4 and up triggers to spark 4 cylinders? I cannot put the 36-1 wheel on crank by way the chrysler had built the 2.2/2.5. Crank pulley have no room for VR wheel behind the pulley and putting on front is tricky. Cheers, Wizard |
