No, you're missing the point — I don't need to check out the Nissan head swap any more than I need to check and see whether putting this or that square wheel onto a car will actually not work well. The problem is with the concept.

Why use something that low-tech? I'd at least go for a Supra Turbo 7M-GTE and 5-speed. 230hp stock with the wimpy factory intercooler. I saw one in a 510 wagon with a water-to-air intercooler and he put 327hp to the rear wheels. They tend to blow head gaskets after about 100k miles, but that's easy to fix. |

I read 510 wagon...i like 510 wagons...Those L16, L18, L20's are fun-- except for the fact that there is a tin can wrapped around them Oh yeah Rz350's love those, those are fun too. |

( when I took my slant head to the machine shop last winter I told the apprentice the head was for a 1949 Ferrari V12. It was handled carefully) Easier is the twin slant , mid engine Dart Limo....I have the transfer case for that. Im thinking 80s Eagle wagon AWD front suspension.... The ancient Jaguar DOHC head could probably bolt on if you could deal with the Jag bolt pattern which is slightly rectangular, but still spaced 4 inches longitudinally. The head gasket lines up as I did that one day in the boneyard. The older Jag head is a hemi shape chamber. Somebody could probably get one to bolt up but would be tough to make the cam drive work. It'd be an interesting conversation piece, that's about all. I think the slant six might have been roughly patterned after the Jaguar six, with economy in mind (and less weight too). You might need custom pistons. I read where Jay Leno recently bought a newly cast Duesenberg iron head for only $42,000. That's where this would end too. |

Wait wait wait, there's somebody who's crazy enough to have the same never-happen-but-fun-to-dream idea I had? That's disturbing.
