Denny and I really enjoyed the get together, good friends, good stories, and good food too. I couldn't sleep Saturday night so we left at 5AM on Sunday, drove 1,100 miles in 19 hours to get home about 10:30PM. Good weather all the way but I was really beat! Got a good night's sleep last night and feel pretty normal again now. Thanks to Lou and Gary and everybody else that helped make this possible. I appreciate the 10th place award but aren't I one of them Killer Bees?

From my point of view, for all you do and have done for the sport of slant six racing, you can be a member of both teams. See you at Woodburn in June (you might want to bring your sleeping bag and I will let you use my folding cot you to sleep on as there is some sort of convention that weekend).

Im a Killer Bee also but they still treat US like family. We really cant make the west coast races (we may try one year) so they are our slanted family. BTW Renee (Cinda's Cousin) announced at Sunday breakfast that she want to race slants. She is sooo hooked and hasnt even been to a race yet.

It was fantastic to see so many Slant Sixers together again "meeting minds." I counted 36 people at one point, so about as many as last year!

Main topics discussed (apart from excessive bench racing) were new faces, race dates, new races (Reynolds, GA and Reyes, AR), and awards. One of us will write a little story for the next SSRN.

Greg, thanks for the great pics.

See you all at the track in 2010!

Lou

Aw man! :x I had planned to call the hotel this weekend at the right time and be able to chat with My Slanted Family!

I was up in Northern 'Ganeestan checkin' some things out all weekend.

I'm sorry I missed the opportunity. Next year for sure!! :D
