Over 350 cars at the NHRA national event in Sacramento (including the Killer bees) :) My car wasn't ready..so Sergio loaned us a 20 second car that made it to the Sat. finals. We had 9 cars Sat. and 8 Sunday. Great to see Ken there. Thanks to the Dutras' and Edd for keeping all the cars "running" to get thru the weekend! Received payouts and beau. trophys. Congrats to Doug ( and Alan).

Thanks PJ,but your math is wrong,I only have 18 points not 23.You can only count record points once a season I believe.3 records this season =15 points and 3 points for 3 first round losses = 18.Guzzi Mark

Post subject:  Record points

Quote:
A driver will get 5 bonus points (toward their year-end point total) for setting a record at any official Slant 6 race. However, this 5 pts will only be awarded once per year, per driver (not for each record or for different class records). So, you get a substantial benefit for setting one SSRN record per year, but cannot make huge gains by setting multiple records
Mark,

Even though you set 3 records, the maximum amount of points you can get for setting records in a year is 5.

Interestingly enough,... Mark still has 18 points, but for a different reason.

The way I count his points:

Vegas = 6 points (1 for attendance and 5 for setting his record)

Sac 5 May = 11 (1 for attendance and 10 for winning 1 round)

Sac 6 May = 1 (1 for attendance)

Total = 18

One of the racers is not a member of Killer Bees so we don't put him on the points schedule.....although he can run for the money and/or trophy

Interesting. So someone is not a member or can't run for points even if they run an event? I guess they need to pay dues?

Thanks, Lou

Post subject:  Points

Maybe you can explain the set-up on the West side for us? What happens to the points that would go to someone who is not a Killer Bee if they won a race? Like 40 points?

Thanks for sharing.

I think it's Dave Endres that still owes dues for Killer Bee points.
As I understand it, anyone qualifies for National SL6 racing points, awarded at any of the allotted SL6 races but the KB Team also counts (and gives awards) to team members.
