I can not make it this spring because of my grand daughter is graduating kindergarden and has a dance recitile. I did not make it to all of my kids functions but because I am retired now, I will not miss one of my grandchilds, if I can help it. Sorry guys but family comes first and I hope to see you all at another race this year.

I will post some more info in the next couple days. But as of right now there will be no track rental. If you want more time runs you will need to pay for a T&T in addition to the race. Maybe in the Fall.

Looks like I will be good to go. Finished doing the rewire on the race car, and it runs. Want to do a few more things, but don't need to complete them for M-D. Hoping for good weather.

PS: If there is a track rental, I'm in. A lot of changes to the car, since the last time out, and no track time.

If we had 9 I would have gone ahead, but we only have 5 counting Charlie. I thought we would easily have 10 but we don't. I am having trouble getting replies back from some folks on whether or not they are coming. The track appears to be starting things at 11:00AM on Saturday but I am waiting on confirmation from Elmer.

For our newcomers, we want you to have a great time! And I am sure you will! This is a great bunch of guys to race with. Ask any of us and we will do all we can to help you out.

As in years past when you come to the gate please tell them you are racing Slant 6 and you will get a tech card from them for $15. Once you come inside you will see me and give me $20 which goes 100% towards our payout. This is the same on Saturday and Sunday.

Please note that they have the start time listed for Saturday at 11:00AM Since they almost always run us first, that means you need to be at the track no later than 10:00AM to get unloaded, and go through tech. I will try and be there by 9:00am to try and save us some space and set up canopy's. We will have a short drivers meeting probably about 10:30AM. As soon as you go through tech please see me and give me the number that they put on your car. We will get 2 time runs and then we race. After the first time run we will draw a random ladder of who we will be racing.

If you are planning to camping at the track it is free to stay overnight. This is their big Mopar event and I think they always have the gates open on Friday evening so you can drive right in and park. Even if the gates to get into the pits are not open, there is plenty of room to pull into the property and park overnight. Slant 6 parking is in the back of the property across the dragstrip. Just follow the blacktop in and it will take right into the back pit area. We all try and park together and you won't have any trouble finding us. I will try and post a map.

Track rules are fairly simple. Safety equipment for the speed you are running. No shorts, no sandals, no sleeveless shirts, and you need a helmet if you run 13.99 or faster.

My wife and I will be providing food again for everyone to enjoy. She will have her BBQ chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, sausages, chips (and probably some more stuff) and we will have a couple cases of water to share. There is a concession stand also if you want something else.

I am sure I am forgetting something , but I will post it later.

I will more than likely be out... with no race car
. Still planning to spectate for now. Machine shop called and said the lite crank was cracked. . So ill get the heavy one back in there after turning and polishing. .. all that grinding and smoothing for nothing. .
