Standing by on your decision so I can let the Clay City team know.

Would there be any interest in at least a "Get Together" at Clay City 6-8 November if you decide not to run the final make-up race?

Those folks wanting to do some "Slant 6 Socializing" could just have a good time without the stress of winning a race for points and those folks wanting to set / re-set a record could let it all hang out! :wink:

How many people would come to Clay City if we re-schedule there? That is the question I believe. Someone needs to make contact with the folks who don't do the internet and find out if they would come. Will you guys plan on coming Mark?

It matters not to me if you guys go to Clay City because I won't be going. I am fine either way. I just want to know what we are doing when we arrive at Mason Dixon Saturday morning so I can let them know.

That would work, yes. WHAT IS NEEDED is for someone to gather information about how many cars would show up for a Nov 7 race and then we can make a decision.

I do not think this person should be Rob, Rick, or I, given the work we have put in already. Yes, this would ideally involve calling folks not on the internet, like the Bruners. I am pretty sure Meril cannot make it anyway as I talked to him yesterday.

M-D was already a scheduled race that we know will be well attended. Clay City was cancelled and then rescheduled on a weekend where we do not know who can come. If it's only 3-4 cars, why bother?

What is the minimum car count to bother with a Mo-Kan race next year?

Don't bother giving me the minimum car count because we will have the race even if Mo-Kan is not included in your points schedule.

The Mo-Kan race will happen next year even if two cars show up.

It will pay the full slant 6 purse even if one car shows up.

Seems to me like the big issue is the track has already cancelled twice at Clay City. With the next date a month away why would anyone believe they won't pull the plug again?

What happens if they do cancel again? :?:

Why not have the missing make up race at Clay City? That way, the people that can make Clay City, but not M-D, still have a race, and those that can make M-D but not Clay city, have their race, also. IF the track would be OK with a lower car count, what difference does it make? We have had races before, that only had a couple of cars. Doesn't make any difference to me, as I cannot make either race.
