Quote: I have a set of RAS rockers with a split. 1.6 intake, 1.5 exhaust.
Interesting. Any idea how come not 1.6 on the exhausts, too?

Quote: Ok, i'll get a set in the works and see if I can have them by then. Thanks for being willing to be the test mule.
Always! I was the test mule way back when for the HEI ignition system conversion, too. I am pretty set for trying out new ideas. My truck isn't my only vehicle and I have enough spare parts to fix it if the rocker arms fail. Just think, what if we, as a group, were able to engineer a roller rocker, hydraulic lifter, MAF MPFI, forced induction, slant six? That would be pretty dang cool if you ask me! I want to build one! To be clear- the roller rockers will work with a stock oiling system? New rocker arm shaft required or can the original shaft be used? Any other special prep work? Stock valves OK? Now I am getting excited! |

After we kicked a couple of pushrods out at the MoPar Nationals in 1995 because the adjuster screws backed out we decided to fix the problem. We measured the ratio of a few stock rockers and discovered that the ratio was not consistent. Settled on 1.5 ratio. Had a CNC guy make us 12 rockers out of 6061 and they worked. The last 16 sets were made out of 7075. We bushed the first set but all other sets were Nimet hard coated. We used Crower axle and roller with MoPar Performance adjusters. We had a total of 22 sets made and sold 19 sets for $495.00 complete with shaft and hold down bolts. All sets got shipped in their own fancy wooden box. I sold one set to an older gentleman on the west coast for his street car. He sent them back at 13,000 miles and some of the axle/rollers had to be replaced. I placed an ad in MoPar Action one time and had 77 responses for the rocker arms. Sure looks like Will Burns is still running them, what an honor! Mark |

Dan, it is not unusual to run different ratios on intake and exhaust, especially when experimenting with lift and duration. Mark, I have a set of yours too. I may get around to putting them on one of these days. |

I wouldn't mind a set, but I don't think you would want to wait untill, I got enough running time to get any results. |

Yes I still run the "Goodman" rockers. Thanks Mark. They have lasted all these years with no problems. The last 13 years have been at roller cam spring rates. When the motor apart I still store them in the wooden box. I have sourced another set (complete with the box LOL) that I am putting on the street car. I don't expect to put a lot of miles on the car but I expect no issues. Will |

Tho I don't have a dog in this hunt,(yet) It is going on 12 years that the ones I got from Jim Cox are still in the engine. RAS? Good guess is about 200+ runs at 6200 rpm. That's not counting whatever runs Brian has put on the car. But if ever someone makes them in the future you can count me in on at least a set or two. |
