OK, put me down for a definte "Maybe". Race car is ready (sounds good). All depends on what the storm does to us this weekend. |

The motor in Steve Adams car locked up a couple of weeks ago, in the pits at Gainesville. We pulled it Monday, and he found #5 rod bearing spun. We dropped a used stock engine in the car, today. Engine condition is unknown. It was given to me last year. One of those "running when pulled", but has been sitting for unknown time. Steve will finish hooking everything up, tomorrow, then try to start it. If it runs OK he will be in for Clay City, also. (depending on the storm). |

Better not count on Steve or me. Not looking good storm wise. If we get lucky, and don't sustain serious damage, and we have power Thur morning. we might go. I will post on Thur if we have internet and/or power. |

Rob, it looks like David Shank is not going to make it after all. So the Covalt stable will bring 3 cars instead of 4. Austin will probably drive my truck since he came over and helped me swap out my 3.55's for some cruise ready 2.76's!! ![]() ![]() PS. Just as a side note. He and his dad are big Ford guys and they have several Fox body mustangs sitting around ready to be turned into race cars. He and I looked at one of them and I told him a Slant 6 would bolt into one of them pretty easily. He liked the idea and was pretty serious about doing it. If he has a good time this weekend, I think we will have him hooked! That would be a "Slantstang" I guess!! ![]() ![]() |

I'd love to see a Slanted Fox Body. Even better would be a Slanted 'Vette, but that's more expensive... Lou |

In my quest to "Slant the World" the three cars I've always wanted to Slant are: Mustang Camaro Corvette Adam and I had a Camaro, but it was an '01 where the engine sits way back under the windshield... It went elsewhere. Now we have a Mustang to Slant (99? It's the kinda rounded version that wasn't quite as popular [94-99ish?])). Looks like we'd better hurry if we want to be the first! ![]() Adam has a Vette,... but it's a Chevette... ![]() I'll update the Roll Call on page 1. |

Sorry many of you can't make it. Fingers crossed for the folks dealing with bad weather and health concerns. We'll do our best to represent fer ya! ![]() At this point I doubt the Challenger will make it this weekend. Engine seems good, but still have to figure out the transmission, replace the pinion seal again and any number of things I should do on a car that hasn't run in 9+ years. I don't want to rush to failure. Maybe Mason-Dixon or Tulsa/MoKan debut instead. |
