Might be band adjustment change along with part changes. This trans should have computer controled lock-up torque converter.

Kick down valve installed wrong!!!!

As I said before, could not find a pic of my specific VB. I remember when I disassembled it, that particular valve has a second piece behind the spring and I didn't see it or the spring in there until I turned the VB over and it fell out with out me seeing its orientation. Took my best guess looking at witness marks but got it wrong. Thank god for that 988 I had to use for verification or I would still be fighting it! I got really good at tearing out and down 904 trans though. Shifts good but needs some fine tuning on kick down and throttle linkage. Thank you Slant6.org for all the info, suggestions and help.
