I think we ended day 1 in 41st place. The oil pan gasket leaks pretty bad and our home spun catch can/diaper reached capacity. It put plenty of oil under the car and onto the exhaust, leading to smoke and a black flag. We will do the same routine tomorrow and just plan to change the diaper more often.

That’s really the only issue. The car has been running fine all day. Fun stuff!

What a great weekend. I lent moral support and a hand now and then, when I could. Toad racer running and on track, at the checker. Major acomplishment for the Toadracer team. A new car, passed tech with flying colors, and no major problems the whole race. I'll let Rob, Lou, or Brian make the anouncement about The award received.

Escape Velocity Racing from Texas was there, and we were pitted right next to each other. They have a turbo charged 225 in a 65 Dart.

I kept trying to post updates, but every time I hit submit my phone would make me log in again and dumped the stuff I typed and photos. I eventually gave up.

EVR struggled this weekend. I’m sure Frank will post once he recovers. I still have a 12+ hour drive home, unload, etc.
