Maybe, we should nail down a track list and take another poll to see the interest before fully committing. Again for Facebook traction the main flyer advertisement needs to spread quickly in the shortest amount of time, which will take more than one person sharing. How many of you are on Facebook? |

I am, but talking up these central events when I can. Not going to the east coast this year. Now if a certain "retired" racer with a couple of Barracudas gets his act together........ |

I can be, but I don't like it at all. I check in on things once in a while on there but I prefer this site a lot more. I'm sure if we all knew about it a lot of us could like or share whatever it if that's the best way to get things seen.

I was just going to text Will and see if he thought he could get something ready for mason Dixon.Facebook is indeciperable to me?? I can't find things and it just seems like a big mess. So I can't help you there. Those of you who use it; please talk things up and spread the word. That's great! But if people can't poke their heads in here,The Slant 6 Site, where the info is easily found and organized, I highly doubt they will come to a race. I would be happy to be wrong. If any of you find new racers on Facebook or anywhere else for that matter, please post back here with their names so we know how many are planning to come. |

Racers: I'll throw the hat down and agree to be the Pre-Race coordinator for the Mokan race on April 27th. I have a good relationship with Carl and Craig and can get the permission to have the slant race. I'm not the best coordinator on race day seeing how I'll be racing in two classes myself. Maybe we can get Goodman to corral the racers on race day. Either way, I'd consider the event as a go. I know three cars that will be there. My #43 Dragster, Dads #42 Dragster, and Shawn's nice Valiant. I was planning to make one trip Eastward, so whatever you guys want. The trip to Clay City from Tulsa is not bad so any other track near there would be fine. |

I tend to find Facebook is better for quick fire questions, and sharing photos. Additionally since the posts come up in your "timeline" it massively increases visibility of a post. I like the forum the most for its archives and deeper technical questions/write ups. Once we decide the races I would suggest the following: Make a flyer for our website http://www.gillwelding.com that is shareable by anyone. Use the same flyer on Facebook (I will announce it to this group so that those who are on Facebook can share it.). If you're on Facebook and worried about missing it you can follow us here: https://www.facebook.com/gillwelding/ As for our official business capacity we are inclined to like events that are greater than 60 days (which should be almost all of them currently). Again we will support 3 races with prizes, we feel that 3 races will provide potential racers with less overwhelming options, and make them feel more like "I can't miss" events. |

I'm planning on M-D if everything works out. Steeve and his son, also. Can't plan on any others at this time. Knoxville is the closest slant six racetrack for me. Mokan is the furthest, with M-D being next furthest. |

That's good Charlie! We have lots of people around the country that say they want to race . We really just need to hear from them soon so we can pick our races. |

Ever since Covid I have done much , but every month still put money into the race car/racing fund. Financially I could make several races. It mainly comes down to having someone to take care of Peg, while I'm gone. |

I expect to be released to go back to work next month. IF that happens I should be able to take time off in April. |

We would definitely be interested in Knoxville. Perhaps there are interested parties in Georgia and Alabama that might drive to Knoxville. |
