Not much done. Just painted the new battery tray and braces engine compartment/body color. The day after the car arrived here in Florida, I took it to the auto paint supply store. Had them scan the color, and make me a "rattle" can and give me the paint formula, so I can do small parts and "touch up" if needed. |

Made a trip up to Va, this past week. Visit with Lou (dart270) and pick up some body parts for 64 and 66 Valiants (of which I have both). I received a couple of tail light housings with the car, but got pair form Lou that are really pretty nice (better that what came with the car), so I will use those, and the NORS lenses, along with gaskets from DMT. |

Finally took a little time to do a few things on the car. Mounted the new battery tray and braces with stainless hardware. Got a couple of 3x4x1/2 aluminum plate, Going to make some spacers for the front motor mounts. This car has Clifford "shorty" headers and power steering (Borgeson quick ratio setup) and the front collector is touching the steering box. Also front of the pan is extremely close to the "K" member. |

Sounds great, Charlie. Hope you can get this one to ply the road before too long. Such a nice car... Lou |

I was actually hoping to have it drivable by now, but haven't been able to spend hardly any time on it. It is like 3rd or 4 in line for work. 1st: take care of Peg 2nd: take care of my properties 3rd: work on daily drivers 4th: work on "old" 64 Valiant 5th: spend a little time on the "new" 64 Valiant A lot of my time was taken by my 88 D-150. Took way longer than anticipated. I did get a little more done on the "new" 64, today. Mounted the alternator, pulled the valve cover to check the valve train. Looks like all new 340 style springs/dampers, and aftermarket retainers. Stock rocker arms, but with adjusters using lock nuts. Hope to confirm TDC and mark aftermarket stock type damper this weekend. |

I was searching for some 64 Valiant pictures, and found this thread about the 64 Valiant I got from Robert. Lots of pictures and descriptions of what he had done to the car. https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/th ... do.211570/ |
