Angie is registered for Sebring. ![]() Los Angeles, CA -- Today Motor Trend reported that Angie Simmons, against the advice of mental-health professionals, will compete in the 24 Hours of Lemons -- the wheel-to-wheel car race for heaps that cost $500 or less. Simmons's team -- the unpromisingly named "Off-Kilter Racing" -- hits your local track on 05/08/2021 to 05/09/2021, where therapists and junkyard operators are already standing by. One relative, on condition of anonymity, described Simmons's family as "...saddened but unsurprised" by the news. "Unfortunately, we've come to expect such lapses in judgment," the source told MT. Friends, coworkers, and relatives interested in staging an intervention and/or watching Simmons do something incredibly embarrassing can find more information on Lemons' race-info page. |

Adam has really been putting in a lot of hours on it, for sure! Aiming the headlights that way kinda fits the "Off-Kilter" theme though... ![]() |

Adam & me wuz fiddlin’ on ToadRacer last night. There was some consternation (Cookie, that means frustra...,... confu....oh never mind! ![]() Any who... I broke a tap off in the head, etc... We were about to cut some more space behind the grill to fit the transmission cooler, but it was gonna be tight. We called Genius Joe fer sum consultatin’ (Cookie, that means we picked his brain a bit. Kinda like students do with teachers... only not like you, cuz all you do is show ‘em YouTube videos... ![]() So Joe comes up with another one of his super duper smart ideas & sez, “You got 4 headlights, don’t ya? You sure you need all them...?” Any y’all stuck yer head up inside the front fender of a Toad...? There’s a heap a room up in there fer things like transmission coolers, cold air ducts, etc... We cut out the inner headlight bucket on each side fer just that sorta thing... ![]() I ain’t got no pictures yet, ‘cuz we ain’t dun yet. You’ll see! |

Quite a bit more progress lately. That transmission cooler is all plumbed now, along with the 500 CFM carb on the Offy manifold. Shorty headers and dual exhaust finish that up. We bled the brakes last night, but Adam found the adapter fitting at the adjustable proportioning valve is cracked, so we gotta redo that. I replaced one U joint and am waiting for the the other one to come in to finish that. Adam picked up the new rear transmission seal today. We are getting close to firing it up. ![]()

Still making progress. Adam is installing the Lokar throttle and kickdown cables. I got the transmission seal and U joints done. Today I’ll work on exhaust, transmission kickdown, roll cage paint, valve cover gasket, air cleaner, ... more stuff, but I ain’t drunked my coffee yet... |
