Well,... I DID spend some time at the garage this weekend...

I didn't touch GodsRods Duster II at all...

I did pull back the cover on the Challenger to show it to a friend that plans to help us paint Stella...

Slant 6 accomplishments:

1. Hauled off the burned up parts car Duster carcass to the metal recycler.

2. Pulled the front sheetmetal and fiberglass hood off the "Street / Ruster / ChumpCar Duster" in preparation for front framerail replacement surgery.

3. Started preparing the replacement fenders for Stella.

4. Bought a decent 16' car trailer so I can tow to some Slant 6 races this season.

One step at a time... At least I'm moving in the right direction for a change. :wink:

Post subject:  Tarp off!! And it moved!! :-)
Okay, so it was only to move it out of the way... :roll:

But we DID remove the tarp and move it over some... Then put the tarp back on... I didn't even make any cool "Vroom Vroom" noises when we pushed it either... :(

I am pretty anxious to get it ready for the Hamilton/N. Wilkesboro races next month though! :wink:

I actually started clearing the way to bring GodsRods Duster II back into the garage today! :shock:

LOTS of schtuff stacked all over, under and around the other Duster that needed to find another place to be...

Dennis is gonna hate me, but I think I'm gonna set Mike loose on his old Duster with cans and cans of spray paint! :shock:

It's a lot of bare metal and the minute I roll it out into the elements it's gonna RUST! So,... we'll protect it as best as we can and sand it back off when/if we ever get back around to fiddlin' on it...

I'm on the docket to apply for a variance and conditional use permit for the garage, but that doesn't happen until next month and there's no guarantee they will approve me adding a carport (or two :wink: ) onto it.

So, for now it's "Tarp City" at the GodsRods Garage... :lol:

Mike and I got Dennis' old Duster primered yesterday. :D

We were going to put some paint on today, but I went to the "Beatersville" car show in Louisville all day instead... :oops:

Very cool show with TONS of cool old rides. :wink:

Maybe tomorrow... :lol:

Drove three hours each way to pick up a puppy for Chase. :shock:

She sure is cute though. :wink:

I asked fer a kitchen pass fer some evenings this week so'z I can git some schtuff done...

I'll be spending my evenings at the garage the next three days. :shock:

As long as it isn't raining I'll roll Duster III out and GodsRods Duster II in and do my best to get it ready for the races.

I will keep repeating to myself, "Stay focused!... Stay focused!..." :lol:

Post subject:  Some actual progress!
I pulled the Duster back over in front of the garage (haven't gotten paint on Duster III yet).

I put the carb back on and filled the radiator. Checked the other fluids and such...

I went to get some gas and wound up at my new friend's place. The one what can fabricate schtuff real good. :wink:

I brought him back over to the GodsRods Garage fer a little look-see and he's got several ideas to make my junk better. :lol:

He even said he'd be willin' ta help me & learn me up on some schtuff too! :wink:

By the time we got done talkin' and lookin' at schtuff and I took him back home it was a little late in the evenin' ta fire up the Duster with them open headers, so I called it a night.

I'll hit it again tomorrow.
