Quote: most west coaster's are in north caili it would seem. so west coast guys order by tuesday next week. to break good on shipping, we westside guys need at least 5 or more.
Guys, I'm happy to coordinate West Coast shipping if need be. I am in N. Cal and I know Rob and perhaps another person is with 10 miles of my place, so it might make more sense to have them shipped here. I could also do a single shipment to Josh, and anyone in WA that was willing to drive to his place could pick up from there. Whatever works, I'm easy, but we need to decide ASAP.MJ |

I'm out/broke. I was hoping it'd be a little cheaper anyways. Guess I'll have to just use my factory piece and quit whining. Not that it'll get installed anytime soon anyways. Thursday the deal finally went through and I bought an original 1968/69 B-body Dana 60 with the Powr-Lok differential & 4.10 gears for my Bee which cost me $850.00. Friday I purchased a rust free super straight 1968 Dodge Coronet with a '68 440 H.P. engine, matching 4-speed transmission, and a few other goodies that's a nice driver for $6,100.00. Both were great deals, both were still a lot of money. |

Ok guy I just got of the phone with Ray. To keep this simple the more guys that buy the cheaper it gets period. If you are on fence I think you should talk to Ray or pm him as he is working very hard to get us these parts for really, really, really good deal. The thing is, and I know there is a lot of people here and times are tough, but how many of you will start a group buy again? There are almost seven people after this that might not be in again. just do the math 465 aus dollars at current exchange rate is $365 plus for shipping $110= $475 usd at the target price of $350 usd for each intake and thats with shipping You can save $125 to $100 Is a good deal. think hard on this people. We all can benefit. thanks for everyones support on this |

Quote: just do the math 465 aus dollars at current exchange rate is $365 plus for shipping $110 = $475 usd
To be fair that is with shipping to the US, not to my door. You need to add another ~$25.00 for that.at the target price of $350 usd for each intake and thats with shipping You can save $125 to $100 So my savings would end up being less than $100.00 (~20% off). Not too mention $350 is still a target price which may end up going higher now that a few people have "dropped out" so to speak. I agree it's a great deal, however my slant six car comes last when it comes to performance parts. I still need to go through my transmission on my 2001 Dodge Ram that is out and apart in the next two weeks. That poor truck has already been sitting because I've been spending money elsewhere and I haven't had a tow vehicle because of it. That's still going to cost another ~$600.00 (already spent $400.00) just in parts, and that is at shop cost and free labor because my dad does transmissions by trade. A week ago when I had a plethora of "play" money I was willing to get a little more generous with my spending. Now that I am down to being almost broke I just can't justify spending ~$400.00 on an intake manifold for the slant six. I agree the savings are great if you have the cash handy immediately, but I'll have to just wait until I find someone who bought one and never used it or used it very little and I'll probably still save about that same amount. Only problem with that is everyone seems to be ordering the 4-bbl. version and I wanted to 2-bbl. unit, so the 2-bbl. pieces will be more difficult to find in the future. Such is life, I'll have to deal with it. I'll probably sell my aluminum 'Super Six' set-up to help fund a "Hurricane" intake manifold in the future, whenever that may be. I'm not making excuses, just explaining what happened and why I decided to bow out. That being said there were a few other things that I'd like to clearify before I dive in and spend this much on an intake manifold (if I ever do). When these first came out everyone said they were going to be awesome for gobs of low end grunt, which is exactly what I wanted. Now it seems to be the general consensus that the power is in the upper echelon of the powerband... Will these manifolds ( in a 2-bbl. or 4-bbl. configuration) clear the factory power brake booster & master cylinder on a A-body with power disc brakes (the early 1967 - 72 Dart/Scamp/Duster/Demon style and/or the later 1973 - 76 Scamp/Duster/Dart/Dart Sport style) and the engine in the factory location?? |

Everyone deals with in their own budget. And as for the intakes, people are not just buying 4bbl units, they are getting 2bbl intakes and triple sidedraft intakes as well. You need to buy according to your plans I was in for a 2bbl at first but there are more carb options with the 4bbl unit for me. I've been sitting on this money for a long time and waiting sense the begaining of June for this buy. Ask Dart270 as soon as he posted that I told him I was in. But as for me, when I through my hat in a buy I do not back out because I know that others are counting on me for the end results. It is different if you say you interested but cant comitt than say you in and back out. But I also know that s#$*t can happen and money maybe needed else where. I dont belive that anyone of us will look badly at anyone about this or you daniel_depetro |

When I originally posted interest in this bulk buy I specifically stated that it was dependant on if any of the deals I currently had pending for the rare original A12 Six Pack parts I found for my Super Bee go through or not.Unfortunetly I didn't get the (3) original 1969 15x6" 'H' wheels ($560.00 each) or the repop lift off hood air cleaner assembly ($1,000.00) I had planned on purchasing but at least I got the original Dana 60 rear, and at a great deal to boot ($850.00). That's a really good deal. Since it won't clear my 72 Dart's power brake booster/mc, then I can't justify the purchase. I never committed to the buy, just asked if it was still on and how much for shipping. if the intake had no clearance issues, I'd buy a 4bbl. |
