Forgot about directions, cleaning out truck sunday before I stuff the motor. Will find them or get some more.I did the grinding and polishing on the crank, didnt take much weight off, just 12 hrs of grinding and sanding. Then sent it out for cutting and balanceing.Guzzi Mark

Mark, The inline 6 is naturally balnced. Save your money. Mine is smooth as silk with new rods, pistons, balancer....etc. Oher than exhaust sounds you don't know its running.

Awesome job on the oil pump installation, much less hose than on mine, I will have to look at how I could make mine more like yours. Mark Goodman says he saw pictures of your Lancer front end on one of your posts but I can't find it. Give me a clue. The crank does look nice, mine is completley stock with parting lines, flash and all.

I have my pistons & rods balanced within .1g so that isn't a problem. Like the polished, cleaner look of your crank. It just look lighter. Maybe not but every little bit helps.

I enlarged the picture and now I am happy. Very sleek treatment, I wish we had a wind tunnel.

Yes, but for a race engine it is probley a good idea to check that the crank itself is neutral. If you want to save money, forget about the red paint. The engine/oil pump install is very nice.

The machine shop I use said not to bother in conjunction with my research. They have never had to add or remove metal in balancing over 100 in line 6's.

Biggest thing is to make sure all the rod/piston assemblies are the same weight. I have had piston sets that had one or two pistons that were way off from the others.

Self stuffage sucks.Got the engine back in by myself, wont do that again.By the end of the day I was wupped.First time I have actually felt 56.Had to move radiator forward a little to clear new drive pulley for the oil pump,re-did trans lines and fired it up,took three stabs with the dist cause I am quite a bit advanced.Electric water pump wasnt pumping, but running,,,,had it upside down,,,no wonder the wires were short.NO leaks and after playing with adjustment on the oil pump I have about 45 lbs of oil pressure at idel and just over 60 at 4000.Will bee fine tuneing pressure with oil hot.Plan on going to the track thurs.Mark
