At the rate that Gas / Fuel prices are climbing... It will make for a squeeze on the wallet for anybody driving the distance!

Just looking at an average of gas prices on [url]gasbuddy.com/GB_Map_Gas_Prices.aspx

It will range from aproximately $600.00 - $750.00.

So we are looking at this venture very closely... Not to sure about the trip...And that sucks!

I hear you Big T,diesel around here is $3.60 ang along it80 $3.80,i can still do it for $300 in fuel with the open trailer. I am not going for several reasons ,mainly becouse this race is a ripoff for the pro, super pro and us.The payouts are pathetic and management refuses to make changes to the race format. I am not alone on this ,at least a dozen regular pro racers are skipping it too this year.

I'm out. Work is getting nuts, and the rail ceritfication isn't going well.

I'll hit Woodburn, and perhaps some of the Northern Cali races. We'll just have to see.

There are a few threads on Moparts, and a lot of the racers will not be attending.

There is now a Foot Brake only class that is limited to pre-'68 cars only. $150 to enter and payout based on car count. The pre-'68 rule pissed off a lot of people.

Well... we have hit $3.9799 a Gallon here in Crescent City, Ca for fuel. Given that price is generally higher here than the rest of the state/possibly country..

It is not looking good for us to attend this event... My car is not ready yet...still working on somethings...But it is possible that we could take Rhondas if we go...

We are waiting to see how things turn out...Would love to go...BUT....the a mighty dollar is the determining factor.

We haven't cancelled our reservations yet....

DAMN ECONOMY! We will wait and see what the current events in the Middle East and Lybia does to the cost of fuel.... .20 cent rise in about 3 weeks....

It was around $3.20 here last weekend, it's $3.45 now.

I have got my fingers crossed that things will pick up at work soon so I can afford to come out, but right now it's not looking good.

So girlfriend Rhonda comes home from work tonight.... Says gas went up .10 cents since I went to work today...That was 1:15pm PST... She got home about 10:15pm PST...
So from $3.97 yesterday it is now $4.07 a gallon.

Pretty high here in this region anyway year round..But a look at other areas Avg is about 3.40 I did see a spot back in MIDWEST of about 2.90.
