Will, if the cracked area is accesable with a drill, you can use a mechanical repair. Should not take more then a couple of hours.

I will update the lists in the morning and split them into 2 days. Anybody good at doing an anti-rain dance, now is the time.

I spoke to Elmer at the Track and he will kick in $20 per car on Saturday and $25 on Sunday. This is in addition to the money from the items everyone bought ( Tee shirts, license...etc) plus some purse money from Lou Madsen, Ryan Covalt and yours truly. I think I have about $600 on hand plus whatever goodies I can sell race weekend. So if the car counts are close we should have a $1400 plus payout.

Please remember when you come in to the track. Be sure and tell them you are racing, and that it is the Slant 6 series. They will take your money and give you a tech card. Bring that into the pit area and find the Slant six parking area. We will help you with everything from that point on.

We will have a meeting and explain how things will run. We will pull names out of a hat and set up our ladder. Things may go quickly Saturday since it is basically a T & T day and we will be running in between T&T. Parking should not be a problem on Saturday & I will probably head down to the track at 8:30 or 9:00AM. Gates open at 8:00AM. I would suggest that you get there no later than 10:00 on Sat. Some folks will be staying at the track overnight, so we should be able to save some parking spaces for Sunday.

I need everyone to see me and sign in when you get there. That way I don't forget anyone when I write up our article. Also I had planned to have a my son, who is a pretty good photographer, take all the pictures for us, but the US Army decided he needed to go for training that weekend. So I will do my best to take pictures of everyone. So if I forget you, please come and see me. I want photos of everyone.

If you will be late getting there for some reason, please give me a call and let me know for sure you are coming. That way we don't miss you when we draw our ladder.

If anyone has Questions please feel free to call me. Home phone, after 4:00 PM is 717-762-1701

Thanks,

Rick Covalt

I can recommend first hand the hotel Rick mentioned. Several other racers have stayed there before and I have not heard anything negative yet.

Depends on the track.

If it's street legal and you wouldnt get pulled over for driving most tracks will let you run and ask to get it repaired the next time you show up.

Just go to a different track every time :P and your good to go.
