Ceej, I will join you, and we can look pathetic together! .. wait that didn't come out right....

Hannah cleared me on racing the Blue Bomber, so race I shall! No way in hellz am I going to have the Dart ready by then... just looking at it today and thinking.... ouch!

Sandy: That is probably the coolest looking truck, but wouldn't it be REALLY cool to have a beer truck that looks like this?

Just ignore all the "GM" stuff, and it's perfect!

Ceej.... I have a plan!

I will look pitiful in the morning while I am struggling to wake up and fix my car last minute like usual, and you can sit and look pitiful in the evening with a beer in your hand!

I think this will work...

:D

Couple quick questions.. Do we know yet what the cost will be for the 'test and tune' friday night? And do we know yet what part of the field will have the slant six group in?

Thanks..

The Slant sixers always park on the eastern side of the pit area next to the fence. To get there, you drive past the track into the rear pit area, and keep following the roads until you get to the most easternly road. At that point, you need to turn right and follow the fence. We usually park a short distance up from that corner of the facility. Can't miss us, there is a lighted Pole that is always up!

Track costs are listed HERE

From what I can see, Friday test and tune should be $40.

I think we'll sit out the racing for friday night then.. The weekend is already expensive enough.. With what we're already paying, it should be included.. Just my two cents worth..

Debbie from the woodburn web site
"*OLDIES BUT GOODIES – JUNE 25 & 26TH, HOT ROD NATIONALS – AUGUST 13 & 14TH:

Saturday Adult $25, Sunday Adult $25, Children 6-14 $5 per day, Children under 6 are Free"

Racers pay $75 (that would be two day adult entry plus a race fee of $25).
So racers will pay $12.50/day to race, I don't call that expensive

I realize it doesn't sound like much.. But when you add it all up.. Kev and I are both driving a car down.. It's $75 for each of us to race sat and sun and $10 for the weekend to camp.. That's $160.. Now let's talk gas.. We're probably at the least gonna have to fill our gas tanks 3 times, roughly $60 per car per fillup.. That brings the weekend up to $520.. I thought it would be nice to eat for the weekend.. Camping on the cheap, might be able to do that for $50.. Now we're at $570.. So if we throw another $40 each out to do test and tune friday night, we're looking at $650... So yes.. I do call that expensive.. Remember, we're coming from out of state.. It's not just the racing fees that affect us :)

Debbie I'm not saying getting to a race is cheap or eating. I was trying to point out the actual cost at the track to race is very small, if you only went as a spectator it would cost you $50 for the weekend.
I cannot go to Sacramento or Vegas for the same reasons, Fuel, beding area, and chow are expensive.

I know.. I just kinda thought an additional $40 per racer for test and tune on friday night above and beyond an already organized race was a little steep.. I'm assuming they'll probably give us a few runs on saturday before we race so we'll be ok..

Thanks for your input though.. I do appreciate it ;)
