well I am sure I am going to get some hate mail, I am buying a Nissan 3.0 v6 for $150, I am putting my Eaton M90 blower on it and switching it over to a carb from the stock EFI.

My understanding was that I should run this head for a full 6 months before I say anything.....did you guys change your mind? Can I just tell everybody?

What about the coolant leak?
Hey Sandy,

Keep running it and report back to Doug just like you've been doing. I think Doug may have figured out an ingenious way to solve the coolant leak without interrupting flow like we thought.

I just run it low. Too cold to need much cooling.

Im tired of trying to time 2 cams.

Hi rob... We had a Opel with 3.7 or 4.1 inline six - over here was caled the chev 4100 or 3800

http://www.fmm.co.za/HTML/car_detail.jsp?id=3130
Most likely the 3.0 DOHC from late Omegas and Carltons. About 200hp stock and 370 hp or so from the turbo'd and breathed on ones that were tuned by Lotus.

UPDATE: I did a little investigation and it appears that the Opel/Vauxhall straight six came in both 12 valve and 24 valve flavours the former having a single camshaft. Unfortunately it's not a cross flow design and both the intake and exhaust manifolds are on the righthand side of the engine which would make it pretty cramped on a slant six.

As long as we are dreaming and talking out our @$$e$, that head would work fine if you flipped the cam and the head

Check this out:

Not sure if this motor has been discussed before. I just found it. The machine work is pretty impressive. It involves filling all the old water ports and head bolt holes and machining new ones in the deck.
