Just saw Mark make a time run. Went what appeared to be an 11:56@116.

I'm guessing the hose was turned off. :?

Mark just rolled an 11:56 at B weight. I can't remember what his earlier run was. I thought it was 11:39. What is the percentage required to back up the earlier run?

I believe 1%. I think he would have had to run a .53 to back up the .39 if my figgerin' is figgered right.

The slant six final has already run. Scott won it, and Mike was runner up. :D I think Doug would be third. From what Mark was saying a bit after 2pm, Doug was getting ready to start for home.

I may have got the first B weight time wrong. We'll have to wait for the after race report from those that were there.

I think Mark said 8.

I'm sure we'll hear the whole scoop soon! :D

Just got a call from Mark. He was trying to back up an 11.35 but pushed the front end through the light. He'll try again in Sacramento.

Due to his arrival time and the rain, he only got three runs. The issue with running at MATS is, you don't race much!

9 racers, as one car we didn't know about, was out in the pits. A stone stock 64 Valiant under restoration.
I have no idea what Mark ran today, with or without the juice. Everytime they got called to the lanes I got a call to go put out a fire.
I do know Doug was still in, when he ran out of time and had to get on the road home.
First two days we had really crappy weather but today was perfect hence why Doug ran out of time, as they ran 90% of the program today.
By the way... WAY TO GO SCOTT !! That boy runs in the 18's and is hard to beat.

We are currently sitting in a room at the Ramada in Draper UT, eating pizza. I am glad to hear that Scott won.

The Duster is running good and is now getting 20mpg after the distributor tweak at the track. My best time was 21.71 which was a break out on the 22.0 dial in. I believe, that we had the slowest car there. It was amusing when some of the BB guys started laughing at the 22.0 dial in.

Most memorable moment, being lined up behind Mark and the Nittie car and watch them run. It is not too often you get to see two \6 cars in the mid 11's running with each other.

Well... all the Dutras made it home safe, another LV race is "in the books".
Thanks to Romeo for getting our pit area and being a great host. (as usual)

And another Big Thanks to all the racers who attended, we made 2 new SL6 friends who ran with us in LV this year. (Ken with a 65 Valiant and Jerry with a 70's Duster or Demon)
Hope you guys come to some more Killer Bee races this year.

Seems like there is always something new for me at the LV race and this year was no exception... here are a few highlights:
- First time I have seen a 904 trans mainshaft snapped in two.
- First passes on my new K1 engine. (and all is well)
- First time Allen drove to LV & back with-out me, he met us there.
- First time I've tried to loose a round... and could not!
- First time I've seen Guzzi Mark go for a record... & not get it.
- First time I've been in the quarter finals... packed-up and left for home.

Fun time but the the second year in a row of bad weather... that put a "hit" on the attendance.

I will post some photos in the next few days.

Best time was 13.76 at 99 mph... no N2O

I put a Dutra Fat Pak intake on this new engine and used the same 750 Elderbrock carb that was on the other (milder) engine.

I can't give this new combo a full throttle "hit" with-out a big bog. 60 ft times were way off, the best being a 1.9XX by stalling the converter at 3000, then hitting it... the engine "sags" then goes. It pulls fine once it's moving, pulls hard to 6000+. Reminds me of the Hurracane manifold I tested.

I have to decide if I want to swap-on a smaller carb and do more testing or just go back to my divided plenum Hyper-Pak intake... with the fogger set-up on it. Uhmmmm...
