That's too bad about the race. We were gonna come out and watch all the slant sixes race. We also finished up one of our EFI manifolds and wanted to show it to everyone and get to know everyone. Our shop is in the Powell area so it's not a 500 mile let down, but we definitely wanted to meet y'all. We will be watching for the next meetup.

For anyone in the knoxville area who will be here till sunday there is a massive car meetup at west towne mall. Its by Harper Auto Square. Its called cars and coffee. There is usually 1,000 to 2,000 cars there rain or shine. The cars are everything from Rust buckets to Mclaren.

We will try to have Lab Rat out there.

Congratulations to Ryan, indeed!

He had an excellent year of setting records AND winning rounds!

I’ll post an end of season wrap up shortly.

Congrats to Ryan, and thanks to the Bruners for the hospitality!
Nice to see old friends and meet some new ones.

I got to spend about 400 miles behind a Valiant steering wheel, a very enjoyable experience.
On the way there, I took the scenic route and discovered that it handles very well indeed :D (when you have enough air in the tires  - sorry Lou)
It really wants a faster steering box though...

On the way home, after finally running all the old gas out of it, I did a mileage loop: 2000 rpm @ 60 mph = 28 mpg.
There is a lot left there since it needs more tuning and is still technically breaking in, but for a first try I was happy.

One more goal (before it sells  ): a time slip.
Missed it this weekend, so I might run over to Beech Bend for the T&T on Tuesday.

Thanks everyone! I just got back home a little while ago. It was a lot of driving but it was great to see everyone and spend time with friends/family. Big thanks to the Bruner's for letting stay/feeding us. Also big thanks to Ron Hamby who saved me from a trailer tire blowout. He noticed a cut in the tire sidewall and the tread coming off. I'm very thankful he noticed that.

It's hard to believe that I won the Championship. I never thought it would happen this year. This year exceeded all my expectations. My #1 goal was to just get the car down the track after so many years.

I was really looking forward to the last make up race, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little anxious/nervous. I knew Rob and Jack were so close too. I knew it would be a great time racing, but it just wasn't meant to be.

Looking forward to seeing all you guys run the nitrous next year too.

Here is a picture of the tire:
