The new pump is bigger and LOUDER than the old one. It vibrates the whole car. There is good water flow now!

Isolate the pump using some old radiator hose under the fasteners.

When the car is running you shouldn't hear it much anyway over the toneful timbres of the fire snorting slant 6 engine on alcohol. On the other hand, if the Water pump is supposed to be loud and you don't hear it you know to shut it down.

Thanks Greg. I’ll do that. I’m sure I’ll still be able to hear it when I turn it on. I turn on the accessories before I start it for just that reason. That’s how I knew the old one died.

Rick, I’ll post a pic and part # soon. The new pump is bigger than the old one. I’ll post info on both.

I'm sure you already know this, but DON'T run that thing inside your shop with the doors closed. Meth fumes will make you sicker than crap.

Yep. It’ll make yer eyes water!

Only 3 Slant cars at London. Me, Rodney and a guy in a Duster running 21s.

I broke out hard on the brakes and ran 13.05. I’m going to change the pill in the injection and pull some timing for tomorrow.

I didn’t know I could buy back... That would have been one more pass today.

I leaned the fuel mixture and pulled the timing back a little. Best pass so far is 12.77 @ 101 and 8.04 @ 85. No where close to my goals of 11.40 and 7.30, but once I figure out the tuning it should be capable of running those numbers.

I’ve got a couple guys giving me good advice. I plan to take the car to Howard’s where he can really look it over and use his tools to get it dialed in. More to follow.

The main thing now is that it is running and in one piece. Congrats, Rob! Once you have that, you can tune away and make progress...

Rob, did you see the other Challenger there? It was painted very similar to yours. I think it is a pig block car.
