 When this event was announced, my car was going to ready "any day now". It's caught in one of those time/space black hole time warp things: What is "soon" to me is not the same to others.

ACT!!?? I do this thing with a harmonica, bass drum and a bassoon. One should have been drinking for a bit though............

MONEY??? ...as long as my VISA holds up........

Hey, Im really new to the forum but I guess I gotta go to this. Being that I have just aquired a Dodge P/U with a slant. Not that far for me to drive.
I have some 64 Dart parts that I could bring if anyone is in need of body parts for one. Mostly I'll be a spectator but it will be great to check out all the cars for ideas and talk to some of the racers.

Hey Lou,

Does anyone from MN go on this site anymore??? I feel like I am talking to myself here. I kinda need to know when I am leaving so I can find "supervision" for our teens and someone to feed the chickens, dog, and cats.

When is the track open??? I am on a budget because of some equipment purchases so camping is going to be the plan for now. Our local track lets us camp the night before the races. Does anyone know if Kearney is the same???

I do not believe you can camp at Kearney, and the track is closed on Friday.

We are not supposed to be able to get in before noon on Saturday, but we can get on the list for Reed Koppe's deal and be let in earlier.

Call Mike to get the info on the list. 308/324-3576

There's about a bazillion acres of farmground around Mike's place. He may know a spot you can camp out on.

As far as I can see it will be just Lou and myself leaving from Minneapolis. It's 600 miles from here to Lexington probably 10-12 hours, I am still planning on towing the blue car to the race. The salad bar at the Pizza Hut gets pretty skanky after about 8PM so it looks like we would have to leave about 7 or 8 on Friday morning. We could meet Chris for breakfast somewhere along highway 60 about 10AM or so.

What do you think of that plan Lou and Chris? Would Dennis, Mike Evans, Mike Jeffrey or others be able to get to the Pizza Hut by about 8PM on Friday. Could be either Lexington or Kearney. Turbo 66 are your still coming? How about the Brents?

At this time I am planning on leaving early Friday morning. I should be able to make an 8 pm Pizza Hut event. :D

Seymour, Chris, and all,

My friend Neal and I can head out anytime Friday morning you like. I fly in late Wed night and will be at Neal's most of Thursday.

Breakfast at Chris' and then Pizza Hut on Fri sounds great.

Looking forward to it!

Lou

If you want to cook, go for it. However, I bet you'll have enough to do without cooking for 3-4 other people, so definitely do not feel obligated. We are totally happy to meet at a restaurant.

I propose we leave your town by around 9 AM so we can get to Kearney with plenty of time to hang out. It would be cool to maybe see Mike's place, if he's up for that. Seymour, what say you?

Lou
