It's actually pretty low - somewhere between 700-1200 ft. You will run some fast times there if it's like previous years. Pretty much all of my fastest times are at that track.

Not quite as low as Samoa...3.3 Feet or Maryland Intl' raceway in Budd's Creek, MD - ~44 Feet, but It's good for 'round these parts.

Looking forward to it.

Post subject:  Another Racer

Hey Rob,

I just talked to Gary Bruner earlier this evening and he said that he was going to get his daughter down to Clay City to race and try for the rookie of the year title. I assumed that she is not driving Gary's racer, so that should give you another one for the list.

PS. If I tell Micah that a girl is trying to beat his 54 Rookie points maybe I can shame him into coming too!!

I look forward to seeing Courtney race. If she can do anything like Gary, then watch out...

That's great Rick! :D I'll give Gary a call.

He'll probably bring his creampuff '64 Valiant that Courtney drove at the Knoxville race.

Tell Micah that Courtney already has 22 points! She won a round each day at Knoxville, so she could very well be a threat! All it will take is a round one day and two rounds the next at Clay City!

You posted earlier that you and Micah wouldn't be coming because of the wedding... As much as we'd love to have Micah there, his best friend's wedding is probably a higher priority than this.

Let me know if I need to update the Roll Call...

Post subject:  Getting Ready

I spent the last few days getting the dart ready to make the 8 hour trip, fixed quite a few things so hopefully we will be good to go.

Whitney and I are going to go down to kentucky all week and ride 4 wheelers and do some white water rafting so we will be leaving soon.

I made a hitch for the Dart today and will be towing with it there and back. Its a light weight trailer total weight including the 4 wheeler should be under 1500 lbs.

Looking forward to seeing you all next week.

Sorry, folks, but I'm going to have to back out. Property next to mine has gone into bankruptcy, and I am trying to buy it. I wll need the "play" money to do the deal, if I can get it.

Post subject:  Weather Forecast

I just checked the Clay City weather forecast...

It's projected to be Sunny with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the low 50s all three days! :D :D

I'll keep an eye on it and update throughout the week.
