It was awesome! Especially the first pass right off the trailer.

Now I need to get more comfortable with the car, etc. Howard called today with several good suggestions to prepare for Clay City. He didn’t realize how much I DON’T know until last night. I think he would go to Clay City as Crew Chief if he didn’t have a big golf tournament that weekend.
He and Barry were talking about me. I knew my ears were burning for a reason.

Going that fast is a real thrill. That 7.01 makes me want a 6.xx in the worst way!

Good luck with it buddy!

I'm thinking on akehaw you'll set your record. Weather looks like it's going to make carb and gas cars real unhappy. I'm thinking mine probably won't fall out of a tree.

You can do it, Rob. Running in the 6s will put you and that car in a VERY SMALL club. Can't wait to see you and see/hear the car run. This should be a wonderful race.

It sure is refreshing to see someone make a Japanese Dodge run fast!
Keep up the great work!

Sounds like me. I made my run on Sat with two mounted slicks, and a small tool box still in the trunk.
