Your statement indicates that you are not coming now… Rick.

I stole a spoiler off one of the MR2’s. I parted out. It looks to be a very good fit actually.

I missed it. Sorry you won’t be here. We will race again some day.

More air methinks, but I am no expert on how much. I would try shifting at 6400 and go from there. Bet you aren't gaining anything shifting much above that. Fingers crossed for some great runs tomorrow!

It really felt like it was still pulling well beyond 6400, but I might just be imagining it…

I was going to steal the tach and shift light from the Duster yesterday, but the way I have the cars at the big shop stacked like cordwood prevented that…

I’ll be going over everything, doing some final prep, and loading the trailer today.

I’ll save adding the spoiler for last.

I’m surprised the Challenger is so close to the top of its weight class in A at 2,332 with driver. My bathroom scales are not the most modern technology to use, but still.
I’ve cut quite a bit of weight from the front and gone to lighter exhaust, etc.
I did add the second battery at about 40 pounds, but everything else should be pretty similar to before… :?
Norm’s claimed weight for the record is 2,280 and I think he told me he was close to 300 pounds at the time.

Rob, is it a square tube car?
Any fiberglass?

Them bottom parts is kinda rectangular like…. The rest uh them tubes is purdy round though… :P

I just re-weighed the car with the spoiler and me with all my gear on.

The weight I’ll be claimin’ (I sure hope I’m gonna need to claim a weight fer sumthin’….) is 2,338.

Then you REALLY gotta put 20lbs in and go for B records too...

No way!!

12 1/2 lbs...

6.87 and 10.71 in B/A are a reach!

97.423 MPH I might be able to manage… :|

It looks like it’ll just be the two of us tomorrow after all… :(

I’ve actually lost a few pounds lately…

Adding and removing weight from the car is easier…

The weather at Clay City wasn’t conducive to super fast times, but I believe I finally re-set Norm’s A/Alcohol 1/8 mile records.

It only took me 12 years, 11 months and 19 days…

I didn’t shatter any records, but I nudged them a bit.

I didn’t make it into the 6 Second Club, so that’s my next goal.

I’ll send Seymour my time slips.

More to follow…

Get that thing in some good weather and it's gonna stretch it's legs.

You having any trouble getting heat in the motor? I like to stage at 160° and sometimes have trouble getting there on gas.
