Hey Rob,

I just talked to Gary Bruner earlier this evening and he said that he was going to get his daughter down to Clay City to race and try for the rookie of the year title. I assumed that she is not driving Gary's racer, so that should give you another one for the list.

Rick
I called Gary...

It won't be ANOTHER racer, but an either/or type deal. :(

Gary said his car wiped out a cam lobe at Bristol, so he won't be bringing it. They'll bring his yellow '64 survivor instead. Either Courtney will drive and try for Rookie of the Year or Gary will drive and try for the Championship! :D

They were heading out the door to the Friday night drags (a couple miles from their house  ) to give Courtney some seat time before Clay City.

I updated the Roll Call.

Talked to Ryan today and he made it to Kentucky for the vacation part of the trip towing the new trailer. Ask him what gas mileage he got pulling that aerodynamic jewel! I told him to bring home a win for the family next weekend!

Well, I made it to Kentucky..... Not without some issues but nothing we couldn't handle. I broke down on the interstate(alternator failure) luckily I was able to tie a battery box under the hood and make it to advance auto for a new one ( the old one was 3 months "old"). About 3 hours later I "broke down" on a bridge. Apparently my gas gauge decided to quit working properly and I ran out of fuel. Luckily i had some 2 stroke gas from my 4 wheeler that got me to the gas station. It was definitely an interesting trip. The car pulled the trailer excellent but gas mileage went from about 22 on the highway to around 11 or 12 with the trailer. I'm hauling about 2000lbs total (500lbs more weight than I thought I'd have) and was running about 75mph over the mountains.

Rob sent me an email and offered to help me if I got stuck. Hopefully I'm good to go now and will see you all at the track soon.

Will PM'd and said he won't have his motor back together in time for Clay City. :(

I have to put the :?: back on myself. I got sideswiped this morning waiting outside Ace Signs & Graphics. The trailer will need some major repairs. The Duster needs a fender and the Tahoe needs a mirror.

I went ahead and had them put the GodsRods graphics on the car since I was already there and have no way to move the car anyway...

Rob,

Do you think his insurance would pay for a u-haul trailer? Due to loss of use. It can't hurt to ask for this once a year event? They will get you a vehicle if you have loss of use of it, maybe they will do it for the trailer also.

Good luck!

I'm waiting for their insurance company to assign an adjuster. I did call and ask that question. They should cover it. If not, I'll just go PTSD on 'em!

Yeah, the temps went from highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s to highs at 57-60 and lows at 33-39!

I guess I'll change some of my packing plans. No shorts for me this weekend.

I can't wait!! :D :D

I haven't heard anything from Ryan, so I assume they're having a blast on the ATV and white water rafting.

Yeah,

I haven't talked to him since Sunday when he had some car issues. I'm sure they are enjoying themselves. Sunday was their 7th Anniversary. So they are enjoying the week together and then ending up at a Slant six race to finish out their trip! Pretty cool.
