I hope the weather turns out ok for all of you.. Was looking at the weather report for Woodburn online and it was calling for rain 60% chance tomorrow and rain on Sunday.. Keep us posted.. Hope you all have a great time!!

It's all fuzzy, but I'll take a shot at it.

The final on Sunday went to Wendy Pine in her convertible.

Dave Mueller was having car troubles, and so was Doug Powers. They ran in the Inliner, but pulled out of the Slant Six for today's race. Dave was also fielding Alethea's car with his Nephew Darren driving. That took three cars out of the mix, but Walt in his 12 second HAMB rail brought the field back up to 8 cars.

Weather Sunday forced a late start, and some of the big boys broke their toys, causing clean-up delays. I watched a gentleman stand a '57 Chevy on it's bumper in stickshift. It came down extremely hard just across the 60.
Events were supposed to wrap up at 5 PM, but the first round of slant six didn't occur until a bit after that. The track hot lapped winners, and finished the second event.

Two youngsters of six or eight years came into the slant six pits, and asked me "Do you know who owns that weird sounding car?" They pointed at the Hooptie.

"That's mine." I replied, curious.

"Will you sign our shirts?"

They had been out collecting signatures, so I obliged. That's a first! :D

Yeah. I guess it is weird sounding! :lol:
