that's cool, i was just thinking about 3x2's on a slant the other day... you could make some progressive linkage for the outer 2 carbs so the mileage wouldn't dive...

my first car was a '66 nova wagon which i built a 283 for, i had 3x2's on that with progressive linkage  (which reminds me, i have the 520 casting power pak heads, ported/polished, screw in studs sitting in my garage, if anyone runs any chebbies and needs a nice set of heads for a good price)

Sweet looking setup... I'd like to see it with carbs and on an engine.
Could be a little to much carb for a slant.
Maybe a 3-Pak would be a better Idea ?
Three one barrels ?

A sixpak slant would be cool just for the SHOCK factor when you open your hood. But probably not a good idea for a daily driver.

I'd like have it,, and I dont even have a slant car yet.
(i'll have one soon, stay posted)

Scott

What you need are some Hillborn-style throttle bodys, then go EFI for driveability...imagine six stacks in a row up through the hood of an altered-wheelbase Valiant set up like an old A/FX car with a 5-speed and Halibrands  ...Oh sorry, did I say that out loud :D ?
Tom, are you listening?

nice only one problem tropar if all three don't work you will only run on two cylinders so you'd need to set it up with a reseviorbtween it and the head

That is a neat looking setup, but with no plenums under the carbs it is probably gonna be tricky to tune. Building linkage will kinda suck too.

Ok, when going strange, this is what happens,...

One sidedraft SU carb for normal driving: very economical!
But when you step on it, at full throtle, the 2 bbd's enter the game: hiihaaa!
Then add NOS,..

Moparfreak: oh yeah, duh, i wasn't thinking, you need to have the manifolds connected! too strange, probably wouldn't work unless a lot of time was spent on the set up

well, then you'd have to run 6 barrels all the time, or as Sixinthehead says, run throttle bodies and EFI

3 bbd's would flow a lot of cfm (numbers?) , you'd need some good flow to use it all

Wouldn't you get the same mileage as a single 2 barrel since there isn't a common plenum?

i highly doubt 3 BBD's would be too much for a slantsix, they only flow 280 or so CFM and thats in 3.0? HG, convert that to a 4bbl (1.5HG) and it would be only 140CFM each.

You mean like THIS?

My buddy nabbed that in Australia for my '66 Dart Wagon. I'm just going to run a 2 Bbl Super 6 until I learn what the hell to do with 3 SUs.
