Hey G8uys I jsut wanted to pass on a good experience. Monday Aug 2 I ordered a Clifford Intake for my 225, The short Ram manifold with Water heat. I have ordered from them before and waited a few weeks for the stuff..So I was a little weary at first. But they had what I needed.. I placed the order Monday Aug 2 with a Credit Card at 10am PST. The intake arrived at my work yesterday, Wed Aug 4th at noon EST... I was way impressed!!! The casting quality looks good. I was soo impressed I called them and spoke with Larry Clifford, and thanked him for the prompt service, and high quality.. He said since his Dad died 3 years ago he has been trying to get things sped up in the shipping dept. He told he he is 70% of where he wants to be... and he still has improvements to make.... But I am Very happy none the less... Just thought I could pass on a good word to help restore confidence in these guys !!! Dan |

Intake went from California to Pennsylvania in 2 days? Did you pay extra for 2 day shipping? Usually thats 5 days in transit with ground shipping ala UPS. I thought the current owner was Larry Millwee? Glad your purchase went smoothly. |

Wow, a positive experience with Clifford. There's something you don't see every day. It'll be a cold day in hell before I give those jokers any more of my money. Endless excuses and rotten service -- no thanks. |

I have heard others with good experiences thru Clifford also. I am planning on rebuilding my slant with their intake and the Weber Redline Fuel Injection setup. Does anyone have any advice on that setup, they claim 80 hp gain and double gas mileage, which could come in handy. I am mostly looking for a daily driver with over stock horsepower and a smooth ride. Ill save the real horsepower for my 67 Barracuda 340s. |

Like I said, I had a good experience, and Payed no extra for the 2 day service. Dont waste your money on the REdline Weber Fuel injection.. you might gain 1-2 mpg over a good carb, and you wont gain any power. For the Money they are asking for FI.. I would build the megasquirt or put Holley Projection on a 4bbl intake with and adaptor for much less money. Put on a decent 2 bbl and intake if u dont mind a carb, tune it, with jetting etc. You should get 20 mpg or sligthly better in mixed driving with a well tuned carb setup. much cheaper as well. Hope this all helps, Dan |

"80hp gain and double fuel economy" is a laugh riot -- until someone believes it and spends the $2K. People are having great success with the more flexible, less expensive setups from http://www.sdsefi.com or Megasquirt. Holley ProJection is another very expensive joke. |

Lou has an older Holley Projection unit that he is running with a Megasquirt. It works very well. The original Projection was crap, but only because the controller was at best "primitive". |

This is the truth with the early EFI stuff, and the projection 2D/4D/4Di setups that program with a 'turn of the knob'... Holley has changed that and now all the Commander kits use a Prom that has to be reprogrammed with a laptop and software (not too different than DFI, Edelbrock, etc...) The Megasquirt comes with highmarks from even outside the slant six world too.... -D.Idiot |

Hi Everybody, I am curious as hell now about the clifford issue(s). The guys @ wildcat mountain Mopars (A cool mopar only wrecking yard and mopar nut's heaven) say that in the past they have had really good luck with clifford. They admit that they haven't ordered anything in a year or more, but said that if things have changed then we've lost a good resource. Are they not filling orders? Just being @$$holes? I called them once and got "Ho Hum" response, but an email was promptly responded to and very informative. Could this just be a transition phase? *sigh* Secondly, Where else can you go for cool intake setups like Triple Deuces, triple singles, etc |
