Post subject:  Rally Wheels

We have the original Rally wheels on the 73 Duster and one center cap is missing. Anybody find a source for this? Also, were there glory rings on these wheels? Ours don't have any. Thanks.

You can pick those up at swap meets, some junkyards, and of course E-bay (I bought a spare 'acorn' rallye cap two years back for $5 +SHI)

After that you can get them from yearone, paddock, etc...($$$$)

All Rallyes came with trim rings, I don't put mine on, since the local population has 'sticky' fingers and screwdrivers when you're away from the car (luckily they don't know how to steal or drive pre-78 cars...)

You ought to see the kids at the garage try to run my 1950 Chevy pickup when I take it for state inspection. They don't have a clue how to start it (original floor button start) or how to drive it (original 3 on the tree).

As far as I've been able to determine,The "Rally Wheel", should be matched with a Chrome trim ring. The "Road Wheel"; often referred to as the "mopar mag"; should have a brushed surface...The "Magnum 500",has no trim ring , and is all chrome by itself???? The center cap for the "rally wheel" in '70 and '71 should be a dark cap w a chrome looking center sticker.as opposed to the 72 and later all shiny looking cap?? Any feedback would b appreciated !!!
