If its just a single wire, inside. Otherwise the weather will eventually make it brittle and it will corrode easier. I would never run power wire outside unless it was some sort of SO or similar cord. When I mounted my electric fuel pump on the frame rail just past the rear end, I used 2 conductor SO cord. SO cord has fibers between the individual conductors and an outer shield that is chemical and weather resistant, but such a cord is not suited for a main battery feed because it is not availible in a heavy enough gauge and in single conductors. |

If you run the cables under the car, I would recommend doing it through some kind of conduit...like plastic pipe held on with brackets or something. I'll let you know when I do it. |

At your hardware store, in the electrical section you can find some flexible metal conduit that they use for commercial wiring. That would work well, you wouldn't need a bender or any special tools to use it. Easy to work with, you don't need a hacksaw to cut it |

I run the ground stap to the frame then ran the battery cable up the inside of the channel and attached it with those rubber coated cable mounts. |
